SnapCompress - Bulk Image Compressor & Format Converter

SnapCompress is a lightweight, self-hosted PHP script that lets anyone bulk-compress and convert JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF images straight from their browser, no signup, no external API, no monthly SaaS fee. Visitors drag in a batch of images, choose a quality level and an output format, and download a single ZIP of optimized files, with a live before/after size comparison for every image. Built on PHP's native GD library, it runs on ordinary shared hosting with no Composer install and no build step. A password-protected admin dashboard tracks total images processed and total bytes saved, backed by a simple MySQL history table. Drop it onto your own domain and you have an instant, brandable image-optimization tool, perfect for agencies, freelancers, or as the seed of a SaaS.
