Auren - Warm Minimal Editorial Shopify Theme

Overview

Auren is a warm, minimal Shopify theme built for stores that sell considered goods, apparel, home pieces, beauty, accessories, anything a shopper wants to slow down and look at properly. The palette is a cream background, near black text, and a single muted gold accent, set against generous whitespace, thin dividers, and a serif display font paired with a clean sans body. It reads like a small studio catalog rather than a big box store, and it works for any general ecommerce catalog, not just one niche.

The theme is built on Shopify's Online Store 2.0 architecture, meaning every page is assembled from JSON templates and Liquid sections you control from the theme editor. Nothing is hardcoded. A merchant can reorder sections, add new ones, swap colors and fonts, and edit every heading and image without touching a line of code.

- Collection pages with a filter sidebar (availability, price, product type) and a sort dropdown, marked up against Shopify's real filter and pagination objects so it is ready to extend

- Sticky, accessible mobile experience: a proper off canvas menu with a hamburger toggle, a mobile filter panel on collection pages, and a dismissible announcement bar, all real CSS and JavaScript interactions, not static mockups

- Newsletter and footer signup forms wired to Shopify's real customer subscribe endpoint

- Fully responsive from a 1440px desktop layout down to a 390px phone, tested at both sizes on every page

Requirements

A Shopify store on any plan that supports Online Store 2.0 themes. No coding knowledge is required to install or customize Auren, everything is exposed through the theme editor. Developers are welcome to extend the Liquid and JavaScript further if they want to.

Compatibility

Built for Online Store 2.0. Uses JSON templates and section based Liquid, not the legacy single dot liquid template architecture, so it supports the full modern theme editor: drag and drop sections, app blocks, and section groups.
