MarketList - Laravel Multi Vendor Marketplace and Classifieds Script

Overview

MarketList is a complete, self-hosted multi-vendor classifieds platform. Vendors submit listings, an admin moderation queue reviews every submission before it goes live, and a public storefront lets shoppers search and filter approved listings. It's built with clean, hand-rolled Laravel, with no bloated starter kits and no page-builder dependencies, so it stays easy to read and extend.

Key features

- Two-role auth system: hand-rolled login (no Breeze bloat) with distinct Admin (moderator) and Vendor roles, each with its own dashboard and permissions.
- Real moderation queue: new listings and edits to live listings are queued as pending_review and only reach the public storefront after an admin explicitly approves them. Rejections require a reason, shown back to the vendor.
- Server-enforced vendor scoping: a vendor can only ever view or edit their own listings. This is checked on every request server-side, not just hidden in the UI.
- Public storefront: search, category, condition, and price-range filters over every approved listing, with a clean detail page per listing.
- Report or flag a listing: any visitor can flag a live listing with a note. Flags land in an admin queue for review and resolution.
- Mark as sold: a one-click action, restricted to the owning vendor, that removes a listing from the live storefront and rolls it into sales reporting.
- Vendor Sales Report PDF: pick a date range and download a formatted PDF (via barryvdh/laravel-dompdf) of every item sold in that window, itemized with a total revenue figure. Works correctly in all 5 supported languages, including right-to-left Arabic layout.
- Admin dashboard: pending-review count, open-report count, active-vendor count, and recent activity at a glance.
- Vendor management: admins can suspend or reactivate vendor accounts. A suspended vendor is blocked from logging in.
- 5 languages built in: English, Arabic, French, Spanish, and Turkish, with a language switcher in the navigation on every page, full right-to-left layout for Arabic, and localized PDF exports.
- Realistic seed data: 1 admin, 5 vendors, 10 categories, and 70+ listings spread across every status (pending, approved, rejected, sold) plus sample reports, so the app looks like a live marketplace out of the box.
- No stock photography: listing thumbnails are generated as colorful gradient placeholders, so there's nothing to re-license when you plug in real product photos.
