RecruitFlow - Laravel Applicant Tracking System for Hiring Teams

Overview

RecruitFlow is a self-hosted applicant tracking system for small hiring
teams who need a real pipeline, not a spreadsheet, without the cost or
complexity of an enterprise ATS. Recruiters post jobs, add candidates, and
move each application through a visual kanban pipeline (Applied,
Screening, Interview, Offer, Hired or Rejected), with every stage change
automatically logged so the full hiring history is never lost.

Feature highlights

- Hand-rolled recruiter authentication. Simple and fast, with no
  bloated auth starter kit dependency to maintain.
- Kanban pipeline board per job posting. Candidates are grouped into
  stage columns with one-click stage moves (no drag-and-drop JS
  required), a computed "days in pipeline" on every card, and star
  ratings.
- Automatic stage-history logging. Every stage transition writes a
  timestamped note to the application, so recruiters and hiring managers
  can see exactly when and how a candidate moved through the process.
- Interviewer notes and feedback threads. Free-text notes on any
  application are interleaved chronologically with the automatic
  stage-change log for a complete audit trail.
- One-click offer letter PDFs. Generate a formatted offer letter
  (position, department, location, employment type, proposed start
  date, and placeholder terms) for any application in the Offer or
  Hired stage.
- Candidate-centric view. A candidate's detail page rolls up their
  entire application history across every job posting they've applied
  to, not just one pipeline at a time.
- Filterable lists everywhere. Job postings can be filtered by status
  and free text; candidates by source (Referral, Job Board, LinkedIn,
  Other) and free text.
- Dashboard with real pipeline metrics. Open postings, candidates
  currently active in the pipeline, hires this month, applications by
  stage, and a recent-activity feed.
- Responsive UI with a real mobile nav. A collapsible slide-out menu
  on small screens, not just a squeezed-down desktop layout.
- Five languages out of the box. English, Arabic, French, Spanish,
  and Turkish, with a language switcher on every page (including
  login) and a full right-to-left layout for Arabic, kanban board
  included.
- Realistic demo data included. 3 recruiter accounts, 12 job
  postings (mixed open, closed, and draft), and 85 candidates with
  100+ applications spread realistically across every stage and
  posting, so the app looks like a live, busy hiring process from the
  first login.

Tech stack

Laravel 13, Eloquent ORM, Blade, Tailwind CSS, MySQL/SQLite, barryvdh/laravel-dompdf. Fully localized into English, Arabic, French, Spanish, and Turkish.

Requirements

PHP 8.3+, Composer, MySQL or SQLite. No npm/Node.js is required to run the app as-is (only needed if you want to edit and recompile the Tailwind CSS).

Compatibility

Laravel 13.x, PHP 8.3 or higher. Works with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQLite. Runs on shared hosting, a VPS, or any standard LAMP or LEMP stack. Tested in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
